Our Cilantro plant is bolting {flowering} which means the leaves have lost their flavor and that we can no longer enjoy fresh Cilantro from this particular plant. I don't mind though; it's tiny {about half the size of a penny} delicate white flowers are really quite pretty. The bee's enjoy the flowers also; once they're done pollinating them, the flowers turns into little brown balls - Coriander seeds. So, we lose the fresh Clinatro, but in the process we get the pretty flowers, the bees and eventually Coriander. That's alright by me. Wednesday Links:The Paper Mama |
