Madi's paper flowers...

Madison loves scrapbooking, arts and crafts ~ anything creative really.
I'm not sure where she gets this from, but it's defiantly not me!
I'm not crafty. Madi however, has a real talent for all things creative.
We love this about her and love to see all the things she makes laying around
here because it brings so much life and fun into our home. For Christmas, Madi's wish list was mostly for scrapbooking supplies and Klutz stuff. Boy is she easy and inexpensive to please! Madi got her wish and has been either scrapbooking and creating something or the other everyday since Christmas. The other night while I was in the kitchen playing with a pomegranate, a basket, and my camera...

(I really do take pictures of e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g! I think it drives my family crazy!)

I looked over and saw Madi doing this.... She was making paper flowers which was a Christmas gift by Klutz from her Cami.

So, while I was playing with my hobby, Madi was at the bar playing with hers. I thought to myself ~look at this sweet child. She is so peaceful and totally happy in what she is doing right now! It made my heart smile and I had to capture the moment.

~ a paper flower complete except for...
a cute ladybug sticker - or "embellishment" as Madi calls it. She's already got all the crafty terms down too obviously!
here's another completed flower with an embellishment...
and once the whole bouquet was complete she placed it neatly on her Windowsill...
Beautiful, simple & creative, just like our Madi!

wasn't quite the telephoto Tuesday I was hoping for, but....

Thankfully, I’m out of school this week. Jack went back to work yesterday and Madi went back to school this morning. Therefore, I have the week days all to myself. This is good in a way because it gives me a time here and there to do the things I like to do without feeling like I am neglecting them. Taking pictures, of course, is one of the things I really like to do. Another is blogging; I know you wouldn't be able to tell by how few posts I actually do! But, I really do enjoy it! I just don’t have a lot of time to spend writing and attaching photos. But, today I do! Since Christmas I have been eager to get out and take pictures using my new telephoto lens, which was a gift from my parents. I’ve only used it once so far (the pictures from that are on my previous post, Oh the holidays) and so really I’m still figuring out what it can do, how far it can shoot, and such.
This morning, since everyone was gone and I had a little “me” time, I went out and walked around a bit, taking pictures of whatever looked worthy. There wasn’t much as far as using the telephoto lens, just a few dove (I think they are dove anyway) and some dead tree branches that looked pretty against the blue-morning-sky….

It was 27 degrees at the time and frost covered nearly everything. To me, frost is beautiful and so even though my initial goal was to get out and take pictures with my telephoto lens, I reverted back to my macro lens in order to get pictures of it....

I was hoping for more, but this 30 minute adventure this morning was enough, for now, to curve my photo craving! When my adventure was over, I walked into the front door and this was waiting patiently for me....

"?!"

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and that you find the time to do something you really enjoy!
